Luisa Salas

(Hola Lou)

Artist & Illustrator, México

Simple yet bold, a complex image 'broken' into a steady flow. As a former Graphic Designer and Art Director, her paintings and illustrations are based on some of the basic concepts of visual aesthetics: Composition, color contrast, and most importantly, balance. Most of them inspired by the ever-changing scenarios of her immensely diverse home country. — While always exploring the limits of simplicity and minimalism, Lou focuses her art on an endless study of color reactions by carefully proportioning a mix of tension and organic movements.
