Located in Kai Bal Marina, Cancún México.
I was asked by Glasgow's Risotto Studio crew to curate the artist selection for their Issue No. 10, featuring creatives from Quintana Roo (Mexican Caribbean), as well as the color palette selection. This series included works from my colleagues Minerva GM, Eddkar, Javier Campesino and myself.
Had the chance to be part of Bershka's flagship store opening in Madero street, Ciudad de México. Painted a wall panel background previous to the event and live painted some fresh tote bags for all the invitees.
Hanging art, live painting session and 'Jungle Days' concept creation for West Elm Puerto Cancún store opening. Art install reflected the current status of a local's perspective on what life is actually like when you're living in the Caribbean. All hanging pieces were hand painted and conceptualized a mixture of Mayan Culture + the sense of breaking the myth of Cancún as an only-touristic destination in a minimal abstract sense. In this month-wide event, I had the chance to expose my feeling towards this city and how it became my main source of inspiration for my art. There were also some screen printed tote bags made for this and the windows of the store were covered by huge digital printed illustrations of this collab.
& Original Paintings
Simple yet bold, my most recent artworks feature the basics of visual graphics: Color, balance, and shapes. I get inspired by sight, specially from the scenes of my current home, the Caribbean.
